A Ward Committee is a political elected office. It is made up of 11 members that must live in the ward they represent. The Ward Committee from each of the cities 15 wards then create the Providence City Committee. The sole purpose of a Ward Committee is to meet once every 4-years to endorse candidates for Mayor, City Council and Ward Committee.
My vision for a Ward Committee is a group of involved community leaders who will meet on a regular basis to help keep me informed on all the issues that are currently affecting our neighborhood. The committee will also act as another way for my constituents to get in touch with me. My Ward Committee consists of representatives from all areas of our neighborhood.
